Performance Trust's Rotational Sales and Trading Internship Program offers a dynamic, immersive experience for ambitious students aiming to launch a career in high finance. Interns will rotate across Sales and Trading teams in Chicago, gaining exposure to market dynamics, mentorship, and career development workshops.

The program emphasizes strategy development, risk analysis, and trade analysis while teaching tools and mindset used in the trading world.

Qualifications

Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program graduating between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
Pursuing degrees in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant discipline.
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python or other programming language a plus.

Responsibilities

Support traders and sales professionals with data collection, market research, and trade ideas/analysis.
Structure and analyze bond cash flows using Bloomberg, Intex, and YieldBook.
Analyze fixed income securities, market data, and transaction opportunities.
Assist in evaluating client balance sheets and investment objectives.
Learn how trading desks, sales, and teams collaborate to deliver solutions for financial institutions.
Build and maintain analytical tools, reports, and workflow improvements in Excel and other systems.
Support projects related to new products, business development, technology, or process improvement.
Work with experienced professionals to understand risk, pricing, and post-trade processes.
