Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis invites undergraduate students to join its 2027 summer internship to learn about the nation’s central banking system while contributing to real work. Interns are matched to a department, perform meaningful tasks, and participate in workshops to build their professional network and explore a range of careers.

The 12-week program runs May 24, 2027 through August 13, 2027. Interns work 40 hours per week on-site and are paid $23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a post-secondary degree.
• You must be enrolled when you apply, but not necessarily during the internship.
• Open to students graduating December 2026 or later.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and willingness to learn new tools
• Effective interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrate behaviors that align with our core values such as: Service, Integrity, Inclusion, Initiative, Accountability, and Objectivity
• Some positions require U.S. citizenship
