Job summary

Rockland Trust invites students to join our Summer 2027 Retail Banking Internship across Greater Boston, South Shore, North Shore, Central Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and Southern New Hampshire. You’ll work with Tellers, bankers, and branch managers, gaining hands-on experience in transactions, customer service, and branch operations.

Through Teller Training and project work, you’ll learn about financial services, build relationships with customers, and explore potential career paths within banking

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year of college and enrolled full-time.
• Interest in banking, finance, or customer service.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work up to 35 hours per week June–August.
• Willingness to travel between branch locations.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Internship credit must be authorized by college/university.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an 8- to 12-week internship program providing hands-on retail banking experience.
• Support day-to-day branch operations and assist customers.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other transactions.
• Learn banking products and services to meet customer needs.
• Follow security, privacy, and compliance practices.
• Network with colleagues and managers to build professional relationships.
• Attend training programs and participate in project work and events.
• Perform other duties and learning assignments as needed.
