Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is offering an 8-week NOMAD internship in nonlinear mechanics and dynamics. Interns will join research projects with teams of mentors, contribute to seminars, and gain exposure to national security-focused engineering research.

Candidates should be enrolled in a science/engineering graduate program, maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be eligible for a U.S. security clearance. On-site work is required for this internship.

Qualifications

• Earned bachelor's degree.
• Full-time student in spring term immediately preceding the internship (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in an accredited science, engineering, or math graduate program.
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Ability to secure U.S. citizenship to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to multiple summer research projects within NOMAD Institute.
• Participate in final seminar series to present research results.
• Collaborate within diverse, multidisciplinary teams of interns and mentors.
