Job summary

Welltower’s Asset Management internship is a paid, full‑time summer program for students pursuing a degree in real estate, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

The Intern supports the Asset Management team in overseeing a portfolio of seniors housing properties, assisting with operator and tenant performance analysis, property‑level financial modeling, market research, and portfolio reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, including the ability to organize and summarize large data sets.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information to an audience of experienced professionals.
• Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated interest in real estate, health care or the seniors housing sector.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining property- and portfolio-level financial models and analyses.
• Support monthly and quarterly review of operator and tenant financial performance and variances.
• Conduct market and competitive research to support asset business plans.
• Prepare asset business plans, hold/sell analyses and portfolio review materials for senior management.
• Assist with abstracting and summarizing leases, management agreements, and loan documents.
