Job summary

Haleon’s Richmond Research & Development Center invites a Summer Intern to work with scientists on formulation development, product testing, and data analysis, gaining exposure to the product development process within a global consumer health company.

You will develop scientific and professional skills, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and present outcomes at the end of the summer; eligibility requires pursuing a Bachelor's degree from the School of Pharmacy at Virginia Commonwealth

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree through the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Interest in consumer healthcare, research and development, product development, or product testing.
• Experience through coursework or laboratory projects involving scientific experimentation and data analysis.
• Familiarity with GLP or laboratory documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Support formulation, product development, product evaluation, and/or testing activities under the guidance of a mentor.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, analyze data, and document findings while following GLP and maintaining accurate scientific records.
• Analyze and interpret results, prepare presentations, and communicate findings to project teams and stakeholders.
• Participate in team meetings, collaborate with cross-functional partners across Formulation, Analytical, Regulatory, and Manufacturing.
• Adhere to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards, good scientific practices, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), where applicable.
• Present project outcomes and key learnings during end-of-summer presentations.
