Job summary

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a Summer Quality Engineer Intern for our Bridgeton, MO facility to support the Quality Engineering team. You will review supplier FAIRs, develop inspection checklists and QA instructions, and assist manufacturing and quality operations as directed by Quality Management.

The ideal candidate is pursuing an engineering degree with an interest in manufacturing quality and supplier quality, with strong attention to detail and collaborative communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in an engineering field with junior status or higher.
• Interest in manufacturing quality and supplier quality.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical documents.
• Basic understanding of quality principles and testing methods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate supplier FAIRs for accuracy and compliance.
• Create detailed inspection checklists to support quality and manufacturing.
• Develop Quality Assurance Instructions (QAI) to guide inspection activities.
• Support EATC Manufacturing and Quality teams as directed.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers to ensure consistent quality standards.
• Maintain documentation and records for audits and quality reviews.
• Identify quality issues or process gaps and communicate them.
• Assist continuous improvement initiatives within Quality.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and build a network.
• Perform varied tasks to gain exposure to engineering staff and practices.
• Support and promote the organization's mission and culture.
• Other duties as assigned.
