Textron Aviation Inc. is offering a 2027 Internship in Quality Engineering (Quality Planning) in Wichita, KS.

You will support quality improvements across fabrication, assembly, and related functional areas while gaining hands-on experience in a regulated aerospace environment. The internship requires pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or a related field, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work onsite for the full 10-week

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Materials Engineering, or related field.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this internship.
• Summer internship runs 10 weeks with 40 hours per week and onsite work required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise Quality systems and procedures to ensure compliant documentation.
• Conduct FAA audits and investigations and report corrective actions to prevent recurrences.
• Gather and analyze performance data (scrap, rejections, defects, rework) to support process improvements.
• Conduct process or product audits in production, functional areas, or with external suppliers.
