Job summary

Textron Systems is offering a 2027 Intern - Quality Engineer (Crewed Land) internship in Slidell, LA. The role supports engineering and manufacturing teams to enhance quality through data analysis, design reviews, and process improvements.

You’ll work closely with production to reduce defects and gain hands-on experience on real projects, mentored by experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed a bachelor’s degree in a related field (Quality/Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical).
• Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Ability to interact effectively with management, peers, and other employees on quality issues.
• Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews engineering and manufacturing information including designs, BOMs, and drawings.
• Goes through quality planning approvals for requisitions, orders and drawings.
• Monitors data/metrics to identify trends and improve quality.
• Performs quality engineering work with high technical competence.
• Collaborates with production to mitigate recurrence of defects.
• Interacts with other engineering and supply chain functions on quality issues.
