Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking candidates for a 2027 Summer Internship in the Atlanta area.

Interns will work on active projects, report to the Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager on-site, and gain exposure to the building process by applying engineering and leadership skills to real-world situations. The program focuses on practical experience in general contracting, scheduling, procurement, and coordination.

Qualifications

• Students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Eng, Electrical Eng, Mechanical Eng, or related major.
• Interest in pursuing a career in Construction/Project Management required.
• Willingness to relocate or commute for the internship duration.

Responsibilities

• Assist team with General Contract and Subcontract administration.
• Exposure to Construction Scheduling.
• Material & Equipment procurement and expediting.
• Mechanical, electrical and piping systems coordination.
• Shop drawing and submittal review and coordination.
• Participation in and documentation of project coordination meetings.
• Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment.
• Maintenance of As-Built plans.
• Exposure to and monitoring of quality control on site and in shop.
• Monitor and document jobsite safety and accident prevention.
