Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. offers a highly competitive summer internship (Intern Advantage) designed to provide hands-on experience in construction management. Interns report to the Project Manager or Assistant PM and assist with project execution across diverse regions and project types.

Start in summer 2027 with opportunities to learn scheduling, procurement, field coordination, quality control, and safety practices while contributing to actual project tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist team with general contract and subcontract administration.
• Exposure to Construction Scheduling.
• Material & Equipment procurement and expediting.
• Coordination of mechanical, electrical, and piping systems.
• Shop drawing and submittal review and coordination.
• Participation in and documentation of project coordination meetings.
• Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment.
• Maintenance of As-Built plans.
• Exposure to and monitoring of quality control on site and in shop.
• Monitor and document jobsite safety and accident prevention.
