U.S. Engineering invites you to join its 2026 Summer Project Engineer Internship, a full-time 10-12 week program from May through August.

The role can be filled at remote locations in Montgomery, AL; Bridgeport, AL; or West Memphis, AR. You will work with our project team to gain hands-on experience across planning, coordination, and field activities while earning competitive pay and networking with leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Science, Architectural Engineering, or similar preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, piping, and plumbing at a commercial, industrial, or institutional level.

Responsibilities

• Documentation: Prepare technical documentation such as reports, RFIs, and submittals.
• Project Coordination: Support project engineers in coordinating project tasks, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely project delivery.
• Fieldwork: Participate in site visits and inspections to gather data, verify installations, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Problem-Solving: Aid in identifying and troubleshooting engineering issues during the design and implementation phases.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, designers, and project managers to achieve project goals.
• Learning and Development: Take part in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge in mechanical construction.
• Take project meeting minutes and document substitution requests.
• Assist Project Manager in the development and nurturing of client relationships.
• Prepare and maintain productivity reports.
