Job summary

U.S. Engineering invites you to join our Summer Project Engineer Internship, a full-time 10-12 week program from May through August 2026, with opportunities at Montgomery, Bridgeport, AL and West Memphis, AR.

You will work alongside project managers to plan and coordinate onsite construction activities. You will gain hands-on experience, attend training sessions, and contribute to documenting reports, RFIs, and submittals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or mechanical/architectural engineering preferred.
• Relevant technical or administrative experience in HVAC, piping, and plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing technical documentation such as reports, RFI's, and submittals.
• Support project engineers in coordinating project tasks, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely project delivery.
• Participate in site visits and inspections to verify installations and ensure adherence to specs.
• Aid in identifying and troubleshooting engineering issues during design and construction.
• Work with electrical engineers, designers, and PMs to achieve project goals.
• Take part in training sessions to enhance mechanical construction skills.
• Take project meeting minutes and document substitution requests.
• Assist PM in developing and nurturing client relationships.
• Prepare and maintain productivity reports.
