Job summary

Murray Company is offering a hands-on summer internship in our Operations group, reporting to project managers. You will gain practical experience in pre-construction, fabrication, and field installation functions across mechanical projects such as plumbing, HVAC, and process piping.

The role emphasizes hands-on Project Management experience, with exposure to planning, scheduling, cost estimating, and quality control in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited university program and pursuing a degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship (10 weeks).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating mechanical projects.
• Support review of designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Help manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.
• Participate in site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specs.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets; support quality control measures.
