Job summary

Murray Company Mechanical Contractors invites motivated students to join our summer internship in Operations. You will work with project managers and teams across pre-construction, fabrication, and field installation to gain hands-on project management experience on mechanical projects (plumbing, HVAC, process piping, and industrial).

Location: Cypress or Rancho Dominguez, CA with travel to Southern California sites.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university program and pursuing a related degree.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to take initiative and work well in a team.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating mechanical projects.
• Support reviews of designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Help manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.
• Participate in site visits to monitor progress and compliance with specs.
• Assist with cost estimates and budgets.
• Support safety protocol implementation and project communication.
