Job summary

Knife River is seeking a dependable Project Engineer Intern for the Missoula office, a full-time summer position assisting with takeoffs, estimates, and related tasks. You will communicate professionally with teammates and clients, analyze blueprints and specifications, and support estimators, project managers, and superintendents on project operations.

Qualified students working toward BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, with proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CAD

Qualifications

• Working toward a BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Self-starter with the desire to learn and grow.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office required; MS Excel, Outlook, Word, Project.

Responsibilities

• Assist estimators provide timely and accurate take-offs for estimates.
• Soliciting and negotiating with subcontractors in a challenging market.
• Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals to ensure estimates are complete.
• Consult with clients, vendors or others to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Assist project managers and superintendents with project operations.
