Job summary

Goodfellow Bros Inc. is offering a Project Engineer Intern Summer 2027 position in Portland, OR. The 12‑week internship provides hands-on construction engineering experience under supervision of a Project Engineer, Project Manager, or Estimator.

You will assist with layout, form design, change orders, plan checking, document control, quality control, and safety monitoring to learn daily responsibilities of a GBI project engineer.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have the legal right to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related major from an accredited university.
• Travel may be required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager/Project Engineers/Estimators with construction-related duties.
• Track work hour utilization and productivity for the project team.
• Maintain up‑to‑date file of material suppliers, labor laws, and subcontractors by category.
• Assist in field tasks and coordinate material deliveries and subcontract work.
• Prepare data for monthly invoices and cost reports; support submittal processing.
