Job summary

AC Electric Company offers a 10-week internship program designed for students pursuing accounting or finance majors. You will gain hands-on exposure to project cost tracking, payroll, billing, and documentation while supporting electrical construction projects.

You will work with project and accounting professionals to learn how cost management and documentation drive project success, in Bakersfield or Fresno. Relocation is on-site with mentorship and real-world accounting software training.

Qualifications

• Enrolled student eligible for a 10-week summer program.
• Full-time availability (40 hours/week) during Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist with billing and collections for active projects in accordance with project requirements.
• Process and verify time records accurately and on schedule.
• Help prepare certified payroll and track subcontractor compliance documentation.
• Support project teams in setting up new jobs and organizing job files in Procore, Spectrum, and shared servers.
• Compile and maintain financial and operational reports including job cost summaries and earned hour reports.
• Assist with purchase orders, pricing requests, and invoicing.
• Provide excellent customer service to subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams.
• Maintain project and supply inventory to support operations.
