Job summary

A-C Electric Company invites students to join its Internship Experience Program in Bakersfield, CA for a 10-week, hands-on accounting and administrative learning journey on active electrical projects.

You will work alongside experienced project and accounting professionals to gain practical exposure to billing, payroll, cost tracking, and documentation, with exposure to Procore and Spectrum.

Qualifications

• Enrolled student pursuing a college/university degree with expected graduation by Aug 2029.
• Majors in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin (accounting/finance focus), Economics, or quantitative Business are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with billing and collections for active projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Process and verify time records accurately and on schedule.
• Help prepare certified payroll and track subcontractor compliance documentation.
• Support project teams in setting up new jobs and organizing job files in Procore, Spectrum, and shared servers.
• Compile and maintain financial and operational reports, including job cost summaries and earned hour reports.
• Assist with purchase orders, pricing requests, and invoicing.
• Provide excellent customer service to subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams.
