Job summary

Charter Casting in Shawano, WI is offering a Process Engineer Internship for Summer 2027. This full-time internship provides hands-on experience in data analysis, project management, and process improvement while developing skills in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Excel, and MS Office.

You will support core and finishing process improvements, help design machine upgrades, and work with maintenance on equipment issues.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 4-year Mechanical Engineering program, current Sophomore or higher.
• GPA 2.75+ required.
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team-oriented with ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support core and finishing process improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to enhance safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
• Assist with designing machine upgrades and layouts for equipment.
• Work with maintenance to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Apply engineering principles to design and material selection.
