Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA invites an undergraduate intern to join the Operations Process Development group for Summer 2027. You will help transform molecules from Research & Development into manufacturable products within PD, under guidance from a hiring manager.

You will work on a lab-based project across multiple PD areas, rigorously document experiments, analyze data, and communicate insights to the team. The program includes mentoring, site tours, and networking events.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's Degree program with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent.
• Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship and available for a full-time schedule.
• Preferred: Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline; 1–3 years of lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete a lab-based project in one of the PD area groups (Drug Substance Technologies, Attribute Sciences, Manufacturing and Clinical Supply, Digital Strategy & Capabilities, Drug Product Technologies, or Combination Product Operations).
• Rigorous experiments with documentation and data interpretation leading to business-relevant outcomes; present findings to the team clearly.
• Engage in professional development activities: training, executive speaker series, tours, mentoring and networking events.
