Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Grad Intern in Operations–Process Development for Summer 2027. The intern will work on a technical PD project, gaining exposure to drug substance, product technologies, and manufacturing processes while analyzing data to drive meaningful decisions.

They’ll participate in training sessions, mentoring, and networking events, with collaboration across cross‑functional teams and site facilities. The program emphasizes professional growth and patient impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Enrollment in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Master’s program for a Master’s internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year before internship starts.
• Must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship program.
• Preferred qualifications include completion of first year Master’s program before start, and GMP knowledge and regulatory awareness.
• 2–4 years of lab experience alongside strong basic lab skills and ability to learn new methods.

Responsibilities

• Complete a technical project in Process Development areas (Drug Substance, Attribute Sciences, Manufacturing/Clinical Supply, Drug Product Technologies or Combination Product Operations).
• Analyze and interpret data into meaningful business outcomes and communicate results clearly to the team.
• Engage in professional development activities, mentoring, and networking events during the internship.
