Job summary

CORE Builders seeks a Preconstruction Engineer Intern to support the preconstruction team by preparing estimates, ensuring cost accuracy, and collaborating with estimators and managers. The internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic construction environment.

You will participate in quantity take-offs, subcontractor coordination, and bid preparation for various projects, while developing communication and organization skills for future roles in the field.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to read and understand construction documents
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and Bluebeam
• Self-starter with a willingness to learn and contribute

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity take-offs and assists in pricing and bidding of construction projects
• Directs subcontractor information flow and prepares exhibits for subcontracts
• Drive process improvements in construction methods, materials, and technology
• Demonstrate punctuality and a collaborative spirit; attend team meetings
• Learn construction safety practices (e.g., OSHA 30) and develop written and verbal communication skills
