Consigli Construction is seeking an Estimating Intern to support the estimating team with quantity take-offs, subcontractor coordination, product research, and document management in a hands-on, in-person internship. This role provides experience in cost comparisons, record maintenance, and aligning estimating activities with project goals within a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications include pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and proficiency

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Foundational understanding of construction processes and terminology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for cost tracking.
• Familiarity with estimating tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and cost comparisons; document assumptions.
• Manage subcontractor lists and contacts; maintain estimating databases.
• Conduct site visits to collect data and analyze historical cost data.
• Prepare and reconcile cost estimates against previous projects and track expenditures.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Support bid development and participate in estimate reviews.
• Identify risks using cost-monitoring systems and assist negotiations.
• Maintain updates in estimating databases and project files.
