Job summary

Wabash Valley Power Alliance in Indianapolis, Indiana invites motivated students to join our Summer 2027 Power Supply & Energy Services Internship. Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Energy Systems, Business, or related field.
• Rising sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student as of Summer 2027.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing power market data from MISO, PJM, and other industry sources.
• Supporting capacity planning and resource adequacy assessments.
• Monitoring generation fleet performance and operational metrics.
• Assisting with energy market, transmission, and fuel market analysis.
• Developing reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.
• Conducting research on regulatory, policy, and market developments impacting the electric industry.
• Supporting renewable energy, battery storage, and emerging technology evaluations.
• Assisting with forecasting and portfolio optimization projects.
• Participating in meetings with internal stakeholders and external industry partners.
• Reviewing market settlements, auction results, and capacity accreditation metrics.
• Supporting special projects related to generation development, transmission strategy, and energy procurement.
