Job summary

Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking Summer Patent Engineers for a ten-week assignment in the Intellectual Property Department. Open to candidates graduating in December 2027 or May/June 2028 with an undergraduate Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree.

The salary for this position is $70,200 per year, pro-rated for the duration. This role is not eligible for benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires strong academic background and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Computer) or Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Foley's patent agents and attorneys to assist with patent protection processes.
• Support inventors from client companies in preparing and prosecuting patent applications.
