Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking Summer Patent Engineers for a ten-week program across multiple offices. You will collaborate with patent agents, attorneys, and inventors to help secure patent protection for new innovations.

Ideal candidates will graduate in December 2027 or May/June 2028 with an engineering or related degree and display strong communication skills. The position offers a competitive salary of $70,200 per year, pro-rated for the ten-week duration, and is not eligible for benefits.

Qualifications

• Candidates will graduate in December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Computer) or related field.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with Foley's patent agents and attorneys and inventors to seek patent protection.
• Contribute to patent prosecution in collaboration with the IP team.
• Demonstrate initiative and take ownership of assigned tasks during the ten-week program.
