Job summary

Steelcase Inc. in Grand Rapids is seeking a Summer/Fall 2027 Packaging Engineering 6 month Co-op student to join us from June - December to learn and grow alongside seasoned packaging professionals and network with colleagues globally.

You will develop solutions to packaging challenges in furniture manufacturing, preparing products for ship testing, and contributing to cost-saving projects while engaging with multiple departments and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree with packaging concentration.
• Active enrollment during internship duration (June–December 2027).
• Junior or rising Senior (Dec 2027 graduation or later).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare furniture for ship testing and review lab results.
• Assist in issues that arise to help run the business.
• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain packaging samples.
• Work on cost savings projects and packaging BOM changes.
• Analyze packaging materials and perform CAPE/SAP tasks.
