Job summary

UNC Health Johnston in North Carolina is seeking a Surgical Nurse to provide competent perioperative care in the operating room, reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director. The role includes coordinating surgical care using the nursing process for both adult and pediatric patients across multiple service lines.

The ideal candidate has completed the AORN Perioperative 101 OR Residency and holds NC RN licensure with BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from school of professional nursing.
• Successful completion of the AORN Perioperative 101 OR Residency Program.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the day of clinical care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification

Responsibilities

• Provides competent perioperative nursing care in the operating room.
• Coordinates and delivers surgical care using the nursing process in an OR setting.
• Collaborates with the perioperative team to promote continuity of care.
