Job summary

UNC Health Johnston is seeking a Registered Nurse with 1–2 years of operating room experience to join a fast-paced surgical team in Johnston Health. The OR cares for adult and pediatric patients across Orthopedics, General, GYN, Robotics, Neuro, ENT, Vascular, Ophthalmology and Endoscopy.

Responsibilities include delivering intraoperative nursing care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes in a full-time, onsite role in Clayton, NC.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One year of nursing experience in OR or related area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient education; assesses learning needs and readiness to learn.
• Contributes to evaluating and revising the plan of care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrates competent intraoperative care across multiple service lines and patient populations.
• Leads and collaborates with team to ensure safe, efficient care and discharge planning.
