Job summary

Sanofi in Cambridge, MA is seeking a motivated Summer Intern to join the US-IDD Medicinal Chemistry team. You will contribute to drug discovery by synthesizing small molecules, applying purification and analytical techniques, and documenting procedures in electronic notebooks.

Under mentoring from senior scientists, you will learn SAR concepts, use NMR and LCMS to characterize compounds, and collaborate across teams to address project challenges.

Qualifications

• En route to Bachelor’s Degree with Organic Chemistry Course completed, and lab course completed.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize small molecule targets for drug discovery programs.
• Apply purification and characterization techniques to meet project timelines.
• Develop/apply analytical techniques for structural characterization (NMR/LCMS).
• Maintain electronic lab notebooks according to SOP.
• Collaborate with team members to address project challenges.
