Johnson & Johnson is seeking an undergraduate student for a Synthetic Organic Chemistry Summer Intern position in Spring House, PA. The role offers hands-on experience in drug discovery chemistry and exposure to multiple functions within the discovery teams.

The internship focuses on learning how organic chemistry supports drug discovery, with opportunities to present at team meetings and participate in campus activities. Relocation support is provided.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a B.S. in chemistry; introductory organic chemistry coursework completed.
• GPA 3.2 or higher preferred.
• Undergraduate research experience preferred.
• Familiarity with analytical techniques (NMR, MS, HPLC) and safe lab practices preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong written and oral communication.
• Available to work 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize, purify, and characterize novel drug-like compounds.
• Work collaboratively with a Johnson & Johnson scientist.
• Enable reaction discovery to address synthetic challenges.
• Present at project team meetings.
• Interact with other drug discovery functions within Johnson & Johnson.
• Participate in campus-wide activities with the Spring House intern community.
• Based in Spring House, PA.
