Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is offering a Summer Internship Program for Manufacturing Engineering.

The 12-week onsite internship engages students and recent graduates to support manufacturing process design, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will work with experienced engineers on Lean and Six Sigma projects, analyze production data, and contribute to documentation, standard work, and DFMEA/PFMEA activities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical engineering; GPA of 3.0+ preferred
• Coursework in manufacturing, process improvement, or quality control is beneficial
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts; basic electro-mechanical manufacturing knowledge

Responsibilities

• Support and improve manufacturing processes focusing on efficiency and quality
• Assist Lean Manufacturing implementations and Six Sigma projects
• Analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities
• Help document standard work hours, sequences, and assembly procedures
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams on DFMEA/PFMEA input
