Job summary

Immaculate Conception School (ICOM) is seeking a dependable and hardworking Summer Maintenance Worker to assist with preparing our school building and grounds for the upcoming academic year. This role supports the mission of our Catholic school by helping ensure facilities are clean, organized, safe, and welcoming for students, families, faculty, and staff.

The position involves moving furniture, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks in a Catholic school environment.

Qualifications

Dependable with ability to work with minimal supervision.
Physical ability to lift 25–50 pounds and perform outdoor work.
Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Move, arrange, and set up classroom, office, and school furniture.
Deep clean classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
Organize storage rooms, supplies, equipment, and materials.
Prepare classrooms and learning environments for students and teachers.
Assist with minor maintenance, painting, repairs, and facility projects.
Support setup and breakdown of equipment, furnishings, and materials.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
Demonstrate professionalism and respect when interacting with faculty and visitors.
Support the mission and values of Catholic education.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Facilities Supervisor.
