Job summary

GBA is seeking a Process Engineer Intern in Broomfield, CO to assist with mass and energy balances, equipment specifications, and vendor interactions on life sciences projects. You will contribute to drafts of URS, P&IDs, and flow diagrams, supporting safe, high-quality facilities.

The role targets students pursuing Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, with at least three years of college completed, and a collaborative mindset. Prior internships and AutoCAD knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Must have completed at least 3 years of collegiate education.
• Interest working in a collaborative team environment.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
• Previous internships are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mass and energy balances, and heating, cooling and flow calculations.
• Provide research and assistance to develop equipment and instrumentation specifications.
• Interact with vendors to specify, select, and develop procurement details for equipment and instrumentation.
• Develop draft User Requirement Specifications.
• Prepare equipment spec sheets.
• Develop draft Flow Diagrams and P&ID's.
• Observe construction projects to ensure designs are met.
• Other duties as assigned.
