Job summary

The City of Lenexa is seeking a Head Lifeguard to oversee daily operations at the Lenexa Rec Center and its facilities. You will supervise and train lifeguards, enforce safety protocols, conduct maintenance checks, and keep accurate records to ensure smooth, safe aquatic program operations.

Requirements include at least 2 years of lifeguard experience, current American Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications, and a valid driver's license with satisfactory credit history.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old with 2 years of lifeguard experience, including swim lesson instruction.
• Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory credit history required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the Lenexa Rec Center lifeguarding program.
• Supervise and train lifeguards; ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Perform maintenance checks and maintain accurate records.
