Job summary

The City of Lenexa is hiring lifeguards for year-round and summer opportunities at our pools. You will supervise patrons, enforce rules, provide first aid, and assist with general pool operations while delivering outstanding customer service to the community.

Qualifications include being at least 15 years old and possessing current lifeguard/CPR/First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain before employment). The position requires weekday, weekend, and holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Complete ARC Lifeguard Training with Waterpark module, CPR, First Aid/AED (or ability to obtain before employment).
• Swim 300 yards continuously (freestyle or breaststroke).
• Surface dive to 13 feet depth, retrieve 10-lb object, swim 20 yards back.
• Tread water for 2 minutes in deep water without arm support.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool patrons and enforce facility rules.
• Provide first aid and emergency response as needed.
• Assist with general pool operations and pool cleanliness.
• Deliver excellent customer service to all visitors.
