Job summary

King Law Offices seeks Summer 2027 Law Clerks for May through August across Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina locations. The role provides exposure to courtroom proceedings, client meetings, drafting, research, mediations, and depositions as part of a hands-on experience at a general practice firm with twenty-five offices.

Applicants must be 1L or 2L in good standing at an accredited law school and seeking real-world experience beyond city practice.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled 1L or 2L at an accredited law school.

Responsibilities

• Experience time in the courtroom and meeting with clients.
• Drafting assignments and legal documents for review.
• Complete research assignments and legal memo prep.
• Attend mediations and depositions and observe negotiations.
• Contribute to case preparation and client communications.

King Law is seeking summer law clerks from May through August at the firm’s Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina locations. Summer law clerk positions are available for Summer 2027 at all King Law locations.

King Law is a general practice law firm with twenty-five offices across both North and South Carolina. Our “big four” practice areas include family law, elder law, civil litigation, and criminal defense. Law clerks will experience time in the courtroom, meeting with clients, drafting, completing research assignments, attending mediations and depositions, and more.
