MIT Lincoln Laboratory invites qualified undergraduates, graduates, and PhD candidates to join the Summer Research Program in Laser Technology & Applications. Interns work on high-power laser systems, from power and heat management to laser physics and optics, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to advance national security capabilities.

Selected interns pursue BS, MS, or PhD in EE, Physics, ME, or Materials Science and engage in mentorship, workshops, and networking events over 10–12

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science with interest in lasers or photonics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on laser research as part of SRP intern program.
• Engage in mentorship and professional development activities.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to advance laser systems research.
