Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory is seeking a Summer Research Program intern to join the Energy Systems Group. The role focuses on power electronics, controls, and high-frequency hardware with RF design exposure.

Interns work on real-world national security challenges, receive mentorship, and participate in workshops and networking events. Internships run about 10–12 weeks, May through August, with housing support and a shuttle from Boston housing.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or having completed a degree in engineering or physics.
• Experience with power electronics concepts and lab techniques.
• Ability to develop, test, and evaluate new algorithms and designs.

Responsibilities

• Understand existing power systems and identify capabilities, drawbacks, and needs.
• Develop new power electronics designs and test them in a lab environment.
