Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat offers an IT Summer Internship in Connecticut, providing hands‑on experience across IT groups including software development, IT infrastructure, cyber security and systems engineering. Interns will gain exposure to multiple tracks and responsibilities within a defense‑industry setting.

Qualified students must be US citizens, enrolled full‑time in IT/CS/engineering, and commit to a minimum eight weeks during Summer 2027, starting May 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• US citizenship is required.
• Pursuing a Bachelor or Masters of Science in IT, Computer Science or Engineering
• Must be enrolled full‑time at a college or university
• Must be available to work 40 hours per week for a minimum eight (8) consecutive weeks between May 2027 to September 2027.
• Selected candidates will be responsible for establishing housing and reliable transportation for the duration of their intern assignment.

Responsibilities

• Testing and maintenance of various software applications.
