Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is offering a Cybersecurity Summer Internship for students pursuing a BS or MS in cybersecurity, computer science or computer engineering. Interns will assist with evaluating, developing and supporting IT technologies, monitor systems for misconfigurations, assess risks and ensure security compliance.

Applicants must be enrolled full-time, be a US citizen, pass a drug screen and background check, and be available for 8 consecutive weeks at 40 hours

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor or master in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
• Must be 18+ and US citizen.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• Full-time college student enrolled for internship duration.
• Freshman year completed before start date.
• Available to work 40 hours/week for 8 weeks between May–Sept 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and supporting IT technologies at Electric Boat.
• Monitor systems for misconfigurations and vulnerabilities.
• Help assess risks and ensure cybersecurity compliance.
• Collaborate with ISSM/ISSO and CSOC personnel and stakeholders.
