Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative is seeking a Student Intern - IT Hardware (HDQ) for the summer of 2027 in Bismarck, ND. The role supports the hardware staff in developing and implementing an overall hardware program and helps solve hardware-related issues.

Responsibilities include hardware inventory control, software installation support, and resolving hardware/software conflicts while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of product offerings and policies. CIP-related access may apply.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a full-time student in a related field with at least one year completed or recently completed a related program.
• Knowledge of PC software/hardware, networks, email, devices, browsers, and internet basics is required.
• Ability to document IT issues and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing a hardware program and solving hardware issues.
• Maintain inventory of hardware devices (PCs, printers, devices, monitors).
• Assist with software installations, resolve conflicts, set security permissions.
• Acquire knowledge of product offerings and support policies for accurate solutions.
• Participate in team projects to improve desktop management.
