Job summary

BNY is offering a Summer Internship Program in Risk & Compliance designed to give high-potential students a 10-week, hands-on experience across global teams. The program covers credit, market, liquidity, technology, operational, compliance, model, AI, and enterprise risk, with a focus on governance, AI safety, and responsible AI adoption.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a focus on business/tech preferred.
• Graduating Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Does not require sponsorship for employment visa in the country of applying.

Responsibilities

• Support risk and compliance activities by helping teams apply frameworks, policies, and oversight practices across the firm.
• Analyze information, identify trends, and assess how risks are being managed across businesses, processes, and functions.
• Assist with reviews, reporting, and documentation that support governance, monitoring, compliance efforts, and responsible AI oversight.
• Gain exposure to key risk areas such as credit, market, liquidity, operational, technology, compliance, model, AI, and enterprise risk.
• Explore how AI, automation, analytics, and data-driven tools can improve risk identification and controls.
