Job summary

PACCAR Parts invites students to join the Summer Internship Program in IT Applications. You will analyze and understand PACCAR through a hands-on assignment, participate in division meetings, and present your accomplishments to interns and senior management at the end.

You will use AI to analyze code, process documentation and system dependencies, generate testing scenarios, and contribute to planning and estimates. This internship offers visibility within PACCAR and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• Intern must be enrolled in college or be a recent graduate.
• Familiar with AI and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify impacted programs, files, interfaces, and business processes early.
• Uncover dependencies and rules overlooked during analysis.
• Use AI to analyze code, docs, and dependencies for automated impact assessments.
• Create comprehensive testing scenarios and regression tests.
• Improve estimates, planning accuracy, and resource forecasting.
• Reduce manual impact analysis time for developers.
• Minimize delays from late requirements discovery.

Requisition Summary

The PACCAR Parts Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity to learn about PACCAR through a work assignment in IT Applications. Each intern will be integrated into division and department meetings, activities and events to ensure an understanding of PACCAR. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our dynamic organization, while enhancing your resume. At the end of your internship, you have the opportunity to present your accomplishments to your fellow interns and senior management. Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Identify impacted programs, files, interfaces, and business processes earlier.
• Uncover hidden dependencies and business rules that may be overlooked during manual analysis.
• Leverage AI to analyze source code, business process documentation, and system dependencies to perform automated change impact assessments.
• Generate more comprehensive testing scenarios and regression test requirements.
• Improve project estimates, planning accuracy, and resource forecasting.
• Reduce the time developers spend performing manual impact analysis.
• Minimize schedule delays caused by late discovery of requirements or use cases.

This internship is for students currently enrolled in college, junior or senior standing preferred.

Wage Scale or Salary Range

The salary range for our intern positions is as follows:

• Undergraduate Students: $25.00/Hour
• Graduate Students: $30.00/Hour
• Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
