Job summary

PACCAR invites students to join the Summer Internship Program at the Louisville, KY Distribution Center. This role focuses on supervisory duties, workload scheduling, and daily performance monitoring for associates within a dynamic distribution environment.

Interns will engage in projects to improve safety, quality, and productivity, with opportunities to present accomplishments to senior management at the end of the program.

Qualifications

• PC literate in MSWord, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate under pressure and possess strong interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in the office or warehouse environments; warehouse equipment operation desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support supervisory duties such as scheduling workloads and monitoring daily performance of associates.
• Assist in recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating efficiency and safe working conditions.
• Assist in building standard work documentation to control supervisory procedures.
• Assist and support in the creation and development of metrics and databases to monitor facility performance.
• Support multiple projects to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Travel to other Distribution Centers to support continuous improvement initiatives.
