Job summary

Higginbotham in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a motivated Communications Intern for our Summer Internship Program. This eight- to ten-week, part-time role focuses on internal, employee-facing communications and hands-on writing, editing, and production for our workforce.

You’ll report to the Sr. Director of Corporate Communications and Brand Development, gain portfolio-ready samples, and receive mentorship from experienced professionals in a collaborative, family-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or related field.
• Strong written communication and engaging storytelling skills.
• Preference for prior newsletter, campus media or professional writing experience and AP style familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Write and publish internal stories for the employee intranet and newsletter.
• Draft invitations and promotional content for internal events.
• Support copy development for internal advertising and campaigns.
• Write scripts for short internal videos and announcements.
• Collaborate with Corporate Marketing and Communications on day-to-day content needs.
• Brainstorm and pitch story ideas that engage employees.
