Job summary

Brevan Howard’s Summer Internship Program invites penultimate-year undergrads or early-stage master’s/PhD students to work on real-time trading systems and market data infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with senior professionals across the live trading platform and data stack, gaining hands-on exposure to design, code, and deployment across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year undergraduate/junior or 1st year master’s/PhD student, to graduate before July 2028.
• Strong mathematical and quantitative abilities with Excel, VBA and R.
• Programming experience in Java; familiarity with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Linux, Git and SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend real-time services for order execution and trading workflow.
• Work on market data capture, normalization and delivery to systematic strategies.
• Develop tooling and interfaces used daily by portfolio managers and traders.
• Contribute tests, instrumentation and monitoring for production trading systems.
