Job summary

Brevan Howard's Summer Internship Program invites penultimate-year undergrads, or first-year master's/PhD students, to apply quantitative and ML skills to real-world problems, coding production-quality analysis and tools in a fast-paced macro trading setting.

You will work with senior professionals on execution research projects, starting with a one-week training covering financial markets, Python, Excel, and AI tools.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year undergraduate or first-year master/PhD student, finalizing before July 2028.
• Strong math and quantitative skills with Excel, VBA, and R.
• Programming in Python; experience with Linux, SQL, and KDB/Q preferred.
• Interest in financial markets, trading, and financial products.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior professionals on a range of projects with immediate impact.
• Contribute to execution research design, development, and performance reporting.
• Apply advanced statistics to large datasets and build execution frameworks.
• Engage in talks, mentorship, and networking events during the internship.
