Job summary

The internship runs 10–12 weeks on-site, with hands-on exposure to sourcing, Excel dashboards, and cross-functional collaboration, culminating in a capstone presentation of results and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Must be a rising senior enrolled in a bachelor’s program in a related field.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint with data analysis ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain DOE security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing activities by researching suppliers and preparing RFQ information.
• Assist with requisition/PO tracking, supplier acknowledgments, delivery dates and invoicing.
• Analyze spend, pricing and lead times; create Excel summaries and dashboards.
• Attend supplier and cross‑functional meetings; maintain logs and action items.
• Coordinate a defined supply-chain improvement project and present final results.
• Document sourcing files per company policies and government contracting rules.
• Present end-of-summer capstone with lessons learned and next steps.
